Back on it!

After a crazy 3 weeks with my work load and hurt knee, I back on my morning walks again.  I'm starting out slow, but I'm back.  With consistent knee exercises and home remedies, I'm hoping to be back running soon.  I want to be well enough to start the year out running in prep for my May half marathon.

Today, go to B&N to pick up my book for school, go to work, work work work, leave early for my appointment, then class tonight.

Diva Meetup

Last night I went to a meetup with the Bay Area Divas of color.  We had a Olive Oil tasting in Walnut Creek and had a great time.
This morning I went to the salon, ran errands and then went home to study.  I seared some tilapia in the habenero olive oil and it was great!  About that studying...well, I got some reading done under the dryer at the salon.  This evening I'm finishing up  the rest...

Cupcakes

So I came home at lunch and made cupcakes because I had been craving them forever and I couldnt find any in the store that I wanted...so of course, I made it myself.  Yeah it was a box cake, but I used milk instead of water which makes them taste better.  But anyways, I worked late tonight, got home around 8:30 and ate THREE cupcakes.  Um yeah, I need to give these away or freeze them or throw them away!  They have to get out of my house!  Geesh, ok, so what do I have to do to burn these off?  I'll deal with that tomorrow, lol!

Every fall, I have an unhealthy vice that I always indulge in....CANDY CORN!   And it is in plenteous supply in Target.  I don't eat a whole bag at once, but I will take a little every day...some days more than a little.  Yes I know it is pure sugar, but it is soooo yummy and it only comes once a year!  lol, well the problem is that sugar translates to pounds.  And since my bday vaca when I hurt my knee, I have not been running and hardly walking since even a 1 mile walk puts too much pressure on my knee.  My doctor has told me NO HEELS so I've been wearing sneakers daily and I even tried a home remedy that I got from my Black Girls Run facebook group of castor oil...that worked for about a day....POINT, with me not exercising as much, I can't afford to take in more calories, especially not JUNK.

Sooo, what was my one healthy thing I did today...I THREW OUT THE REST OF MY CANDY CORN!.  Woohoo!  And I am going to try my best, not to buy another bag this year.
