I love him
So I went to a charity event tonight and now I'm in love. One of the football players in particular is so fine and I told him. Yes Davis!

Best part of my day
After everything the best part of my day was getting my car detailed. There is nothing like a freshly cleaned car. Thank a god they come to our campus to wash cars. It's super convenient.
I am pooped from this week's workouts and only did a walk away the pounds workout this evening. I will do the day 4 of my 31 day reset tomorrow.
Looking tired crazy and beautiful after a long day today.

I love you
What a day, traffic court, then work then 4-5 miles around the lake (total miles are debatable since my gps and my sole sistah's gps were not aligned). So at least 4.25 miles around the lake was my total mileage. Then home for dinner which was baked flounder, green beans and potatoes. Followed with a too big bowl of popcorn.
Then chatted with a friend.
Then completed today's 31 day reset assignment.
So today, day 3's assignment was to write a love letter to yourself and have it delivered to you in the future. The assignment had a template you could use listing all the things you listed in yesterday's assignment that you loved about various areas of your life.
I scheduled my letter to be delivered to me grid year on my 40th birthday. My letter, beginning and end with the middle omitted...
Dear future Christina,
You are amazing. God made no mistakes when he created you. You are intelligent and beautiful and, oh, did I mention AMAZING!
Love forever, love always
Christina
View of the train passing by on our walk around the lake this evening. I'm also grateful for my sole sistah who walked with me tonight. God puts people right in your path at the right time.

Just when...
I was so frustrated today and just in tears and opened Instagram and saw one of my favorite characters doing a dub mash battle and I laughed out loud. It doesn't seem like much but that seriously did my heart some good. Just when things get you down God will allow you to see joy.
Also I read this scrupture today.....“For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”
Psalms 33:4-5 .And I thought well if the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord then all can't be lost. And I saw goodness instead of what was frustrating me.
So the assignment for today, day two of the reset was to list what I like and dislike about several areas of my life. The point was to do an honest self assessment. Since I've been doing that on a regular basis it was an amazingly quick exercise. Yes I can go back and tweak it but I'm going with my I initial response she's since they were what was on my heart and top of mind. Good process.
Overall it was a pretty productive day. I got up, did a T25 workout, went to work, came home and did a walk away the pounds workout. Then had dinner. Then I received a text from my accountability partner from my PhDs study group. She told me I had to write two pages tonight. So I did those two pages, did my day 2 reset exercise and now my blog. Soooo I can sleep now. I'm so praying for sweet restful sleep for me and the rest of my family back east as well.
Oh and it's less than two months until np my birthday and 6 weeks till I am on vacation. :)
Me today on the way to work looking tired and still beautiful!

It happened for me....
So I volunteer with this non profit organization and their graduation was this past Saturday. The young woman I mentor graduated as well. In the graduation program booklet, one of the things they listed beside each graduate's picture was a quote chosen by the graduate. My graduate chose a quote that I'm adopting....it's by Joel Osteen and it basically says...
it did not just happen to me, it happened FOR me.
Now i can stop and shout right there. (Cue organ and shouting music)
I won't even expound on that right now but that's just awesome, just like God!
In other news I decided to do another 31 day reset. I did it about 3 years ago during my birthday month. When I went to look it up again it was no longer free. And rightly so, it's a good and simple and effective program. Aaaand I want to support the sister who is doing her thing and helping others too. So I purchased it. What I forgot was that your day one starts as soon as you purchase it. I got and email like yep it's day one lets do it. Hahaha
Now of course I did not have to start today but I said hey why not. Sooooo here goes.
Day 1 has 3 main assignments
First, choose a notebook, now I buy notebooks and don't finish them so I really need to use one of those but this is an excuse for me to buy a shiny new one. Hehehe. I haven't decided yet but in the meantime I'm just using my notes on my iPhone.
Second, choose a mantra, so I chose just me is more than enough. I also like the one above ...it happened for me. I'll explore this further
Third, chose a theme song. This was easy since I just changed to a new theme song last month. Feeling Good by Nina Simone. I have to admit I really do like Lauryn Hill's rendition. I love the extra 30 plus seconds of instrumentals at the end. When I first heard this song last month I was like yes this is totally me right now. It's definitely a new day and I'm feeling good.
So that's day one.
Oh and I hit the pavement this evening too :)

Just one matters
Soooo my summer has been fun but I only have 8 days to finish the draft of my proposal. On it!
One of my goals is to open a leadership development institute for high school and college kids. People have asked me what difference will it make go I pursue my dream. This story answers that question.
Countless starfish have washed ashore on a beach and are dying off. A little boy is picking them up and tossing them back into the ocean in the hope they’ll survive. A man walks by and asks him why he’s doing something so futile.
“There are hundreds,” he points out. “What difference will it make?”
The boy picks up another starfish, throws it into the sea and says: “It will make a difference to that one.”
So if it makes a difference to just one....

Getting It In
Lots to do this summer. I have to prioritize getting my schoolwork completed. My proposal should be done by the end of summer.
Additionally I should have also made a certain amount of progress on another goal as well.
Oh and then there's this ...
