Labor Day Indeed!

Well I spent the entire day at home working on my concept paper.  I took a break at lunch to cook some tilapia and peas and rice and watched a movie, then it was back on the grind.  But I finished!

So your concept paper lays the foundation for your dissertation.  You present your background information, a statement of the problem, your actual research question and lay out your proposed research methods.  Since I have not taken all of the four core courses yet, I had to do some work around structural inequality & diversity and action-oriented research.  But I made it through and cranked it out thank you Jesus!

I know I will have to do revisions but at least it is submitted and the foundation was laid.

Then I made spaghetti with my famous homemade tomato sauce...YUM!  Only problem is, I should have had a much smaller portion...now I'm afraid I'll fall asleep before Grimm comes on.

That's okay...I have it scheduled on my DVR and I'll run off this pasta tomorrow morning.

After church this morning, I came home and chilled out for a bit.  After my nap, I got to work.  I worked on my concept paper which is basically me putting my dissertation proposal into words.  It requires that I formalize my research question for my dissertation.  I spent a bit of time researching the different types of research since I have not taken that class yet.  But I have to include what type of research I'll be doing.  Well, after all that  I did not finish my paper so I guess it'll have to be in the morning then.

Yes yes it is that time of year again!  I celebrate my birthday all month long.

I started off the month with a day of rest and a nice trip to the salon. :)
