September Sunday

Meaftermymorningmile9.4.11
Got up this morning for my morning mile..cooked breakfast, headed to morning service.

3.7lbs of bottles and 19 cans
But check this out, I've been saving all these plastic bottles for the past couple of months to take to the recycling place for money.  Someone told me they got $20...So I had all 3.7 pounds of plastic and 19 cans and got only $4.39! WTW?!?!?!  I think they screwed me...so I'm gonna look online to see if I can see what the rates should be.  It was totally not worth me taking them there...I have a recycling bin right here at my place. UGH!

On a better note, since I didn't go to the party Friday night, I took the dress back so I'm glad that's a nice bit of money back in my pocket, yay!

One of the people that my black history blog follows, happy black woman, has a 31 Days to Reset Your Life. At first glance, many of the steps are similar to things I've done over the past year.  In the past month, I went through a 3 week love detox program (details later)  Soooo, I decided to give it a try.  You can join me and sign up here:  http://happyblackwoman.com/

my journal
On the day 1 you have to choose a notebook to journal your progress.  I'm using this paris journal and will also post my progress here.  You also have to choose a mantra.  I chose two.  My first mantra is my own original saying, "There is nothing more wasteful than a life lived without purpose."  The second mantra is a Tina Turner quote, "“Whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free… your true self comes out.”  The third step is to choose a theme song and again I chose two, the first is "You Hold My World" by Israel Houghton and the second song is "Who Runs the World - Girls" by Beyonce.

So that's that...I also started reading another journal article, ALLOCATION OF EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT: CASE STUDIES OF SIX CALIFORNIA SCHOOLS WITHIN TWO SCHOOL DISTRICTS for my Education Finance class.  Fun! :)

Yay it's Sunday and I'm off tomorrow and it's still my birthday month! Woohoo!
